'Opihi Towel
The 'Opihi Shell is known as strong and endearing.
Handmade in Turkey with 100% Turkish Cotton
Living on the rocky shore, the ‘Opihi must withstand heavy surge and pounding waves. The ribs and grooves in the shell help spread the force of the crashing waves by channeling water down the sides of the shell. The four species of 'Opihi found in the Hawaiian islands are endemic limpets. In the olden days, it's meat was harvested as a delicacy and its shell used as a tool.
Designed by a local Kaua'i artist, Maile Miyake, our 'Opihi towels are part of our Ocean Collection. Still being peshtemal, it is light-weight and quick to dry. An ideal necessity for the beach, the bath, or a picnic on the grass. Wear it as a scarf, use it as a table cover, and much more.
