Pipipi Towel
The Pipipi Shell Lei represents standing thickly and close together.
Handmade in Turkey with 100% Turkish Cotton
Sew a Pipipi bracelet or lei, and these small black shells display strength in unity. The Pipipi is a native Hawaiian saltwater mollusk that clings to the shorelines black slippery rocks where the waves continually crash. They were a means of food for the Hawaiian people, eating them raw or cooked.
Designed by a local Kaua'i artist, Maile Miyake, our Pipipi towels are part of our Ocean Collection. Still being peshtemal, the Pipipi Towel is light-weight and quick to dry! An ideal necessity for the beach, the bath, or a picnic on the grass. Wear it as a scarf, use it as a table cover, and much more.
